Ain't she pirty?

The siding is going up, all the windows are in and we've started staining the window frames (color chosen yesterday)! It's really starting to come together beautifully and we are SUPER excited with the choices we've made so far. Never fear, the front door you see is the loaner door so that our pretty one doesn't get all scratched and banged up. Enjoy the pictures!!

Labor of love

Taylor's Sister Natalie taught me to crochet back in December and let me tell you, making this blanket was NO WALK IN THE PARK!! I had to start over twice and at one point I was almost done with it when I realized that I had missed stitches in the beginning and the blanket was steadily getting shorter in width. Well, thanks to Taylor's friend Jed, I learned how to hold the yarn correctly to better control my tension and after that I cruised trough it and finally finished!! Thanks Nat and Jed! SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...

Anson's Blessing Blanket

After taking 2 months to finish Anson's blessing blanket, I had the double crochet DOWN! So I decided to make him a brown and green blanket for everyday and not to brag or anything, but I FINISHED IT IN A WEEK AND A HALF!! That was with just working on it here and there and making a scarf for my Sister in between, I think I could have done it in a couple days if I just crocheted all day long! What can I say? I'M PROUD!

It's a baby shower!

I got to go to Portland this last week and not only spend some time with my best friends in the universe (my family), but my Mama and my Sister Lisa put on a baby shower for me. It was so much fun seeing close family friends that I grew up around and some of my buds that I've had forever. My Mom and Sister put so much hard work into this shower--it was so sweet and everything looked so beautiful. So Thanks Mama and Sissy!!

My little boy has a whole new wardrobe and some beautiful blankets, fun toys and books thanks to all my family and friends and their generosity. Thanks so much to everyone who came and those that were their in spirit, it was fabulous to see so many that have touched my life in so many ways and to share this special moment in Taylor and my life.
